The Internet is like a library without a classification scheme, unless you know how to search. Which is why having libraries with digital literacy workshops and instruction is even more relevant and important.
We still need libraries in the digital age
It's great to see digital literacy workshops being integrated into classrooms. Here is an article from the ABQLA (Quebec Librarians' Association) about digital education in Alberta's grades 4-8 classrooms.
Alberta students to acquire digital literacy skills
Youth participants from CFAD created four videos over the course of the workshop series. Two of the videos are featured below. Special thanks to video artist Erin Corbett for her creativity, energy and enthusiasm and to all the amazing and talented youth from CFAD.
