Video Gallery: James Lyng High School
An oral history and music composition project, produced by the music students taught by Mr. Gage at James Lyng High School, and made in collaboration with the Digital Literacy Project. These students in the Southwest of Montreal represented their corner of Canada by using excerpts from oral histories describing their neighborhood in the 50s and 60s as inspiration for music compositions, that were based from jazz samples of the same era.
